Abstract:

In order to weigh the advantages and disadvantages of different types of environmental regulation tools, this article establishes a simple unified theoretical model framework of different types of environmental regulation tools from the angle of maximizing social welfare. Based on the above model, this article analyzes the influence of environmental regulation tools on the performance of enterprises. Then, combined with the implementation of environmental regulations and related data of our country, this article empirically examines the influence of different environmental regulation tools on the performance of enterprises. The results show that corporate performance is negatively related to command-control environment regulation tools, and is significantly related to market-oriented environment regulation tools. Finally, according to the results of the empirical analysis, this article offers some proposals about environmental regulation tools selection for the environmental regulation department.
