Does Real-name Registration System Improve the Performance of Basic Telecom Operators? ——An Empirical Test Based on Mediating Effect Model

实名制改善了基础电信运营商的绩效吗?——基于中介效应模型的实证检验

Abstract: Based on theoretical analysis, this paper empirically tests the impact of real-name registration policy on the performance of China's basic telecom operators by using the mediating effect model. The results show that the real-name registration system effectively improves the performance of basic telecom operators with mediating effects. For one thing, the implementation of the real-name registration system could effectively crack down on telecommunications frauds and reduce the maintenance costs of operators. For another, real-name registration could facilitate operators' identification of user information and marketing promotion, thus increasing the operation income of operators. To this end, the basic telecom operators should implement the real-name registration system as required initiatively, and take it as an opportunity for transformation and upgrading of its business mode and development path achieving the transition from the market scale-oriented development path to the user value-oriented development path.

摘要: 在分析理论建模的基础上,本文应用中介效应模型实证检验实名制政策对我国基础电信运营商绩效的影响。研究结果表明,实名制有效改善我国基础电信运营商的绩效,且其改善作用部分地是通过中介效应实现的。实名制的落实有效打击电信诈骗行为,降低运营商的维护成本;实名登记为运营商识别用户信息和开展市场推广提供便利,增加运营商的营业收入。据此,基础电信运营商应主动落实好实名制的各项要求,以此为契机推进公司业务模式和增长路径的转型升级,实现以市场规模为导向的发展路径跃迁至以用户价值为导向的发展路径。
