Test on the Transmission Mechanism of Service Trade Openness to Industrial Green Total Factor Productivity——Analysis of the Mediating Effect Based on Technology Promotion Path

Abstract

Abstract: Based on the panel data of 23 industries in 2003~2014, this paper examines the mechanism of technology spillover promoting the industrial green total factor productivity through the mediation effect model and according to the different classification of industrial technology intensity and pollution degree. The research results show that based on the industry-wide level, R&D investment has a certain “masking effect”. The indirect path of service trade opening influening industrial green total factor productivity through the impact of R&D investment weakens the direct effect of service trade opening on industrial green total factor productivity. In low-tech-intensive and high-tech-intensive industries, the intermediary effect of service trade opening through technology on promoting the ultimate increase in industrial total factor productivity does not exist. In the cleaning industry, the mediation effect of technology promotion is significantly negative, whereas in high-pollution industries it is significantly positive.

摘要： 基于2003~2014年23个工业行业面板数据,通过中介效应模型检验服务贸易开放通过技术促进效应影响工业绿色全要素生产率的作用机制,并根据工业技术密集程度和污染程度的不同进行分异性检验。研究结果显示,基于工业全行业层面,研发投入具有一定的“遮掩效应”,服务贸易开放通过技术促进效应影响工业绿色全要素生产率的间接路径削弱了服务贸易开放对工业绿色全要素生产率影响的直接效应;在低技术密集和高技术密集行业,服务贸易开放通过技术促进效应最终提升工业绿色全要素生产率的中介效应均不存在;在清洁行业,技术促进的中介效应显著为负,而在高污染行业则显著为正。
