媒体报道能提高公司的透明度吗?——基于中国上市公司的经验证据

Abstract: Abstract:With the sample of 2010-2011 China’s companies listed in Shenzhen, this paper studied the influence of media coverage on corporate transparency improve. The results showed that, negative and non-negative media coverage both would help promote corporate transparency, and the negative coverage has a larger influence; Further study shows that, the influence of media coverage on corporate transparency is larger in the eastern China, while the influence is smaller in the western China; media coverage would lead to the increase of corporate transparency in state-owned listed companies, while the influence is smaller in non-state-owned listed companies.

摘要: 摘要:本文以我国2010-2011年深市上市公司为研究对象,研究了媒体报道对公司透明度提高的影响。研究结果发现,媒体负面报道和非负面报道都能促进公司透明度提高,但媒体负面报道对公司透明度提高的影响更大;在我国东部地区,媒体报道能促进公司透明度提高,对西部地区上市公司的透明度提高影响较小;在国有上市公司里,媒体报道能促进公司透明度提高,但对非国有上市公司的透明度提高影响较小。
