Abstract: From new economic geography and city economics theory, using statistical data from 285 cities in 2003-2012, this paper studied the spatial spillovers effect of industrial agglomeration and market potential on regional wage using spatial econometric model. The results showed that there was a increasing growth in the space correlation of average worker wage and the wage gap between different cities became larger. The effect of manufacturing industry agglomeration on regional wage level was significantly negative. Producer service industry agglomeration significantly promoted the level of wage. The effect of market potential on regional wage was significantly positive; with the increase of geographic distance, the effect of market potential on regional wage were “N” type. From the perspective of agglomeration externality, the effect of MAR externality and Porter externality on regional wage level was significantly negative, Jacobs externality promoted the regional wage level and this meant that the negative effect of manufacturing industry agglomeration was mainly due to MAR externality and Porter externality.

摘要: 本文以新经济地理学和城市经济学理论为基础,利用中国2003-2012年285个地级及以上城市的统计数据,运用空间计量模型分析了产业集聚、市场潜能对地区工资水平影响的空间溢出效应,研究结论表明:中国城市职工平均工资的空间相关性呈波动性的递增趋势,城市之间的工资差距越来越大;制造业集聚对地区工资水平为显著负影响;生产性服务业集聚有利于地区工资水平的提升;市场潜能对地区工资水平显著为正影响,并且随着地理距离的增加,市场潜能对地区工资工资水平的影响效应呈正“N”型波动;从集聚外部性效应来看,MAR外部性和Porter外部性对地区工资水平为显著负影响,Jacobs外部性有利于地区工资水平的提升,这意味着制造业集聚所带来的负影响主要是由于MAR外部性和Porter外部性所主导。
