摘要： 本文使用2010和2012年中国家庭追踪调查(CFPS)数据,基于“大五”人格分类法,实证检验个体非认知能力对创业的影响及其作用机制。研究结果发现,非认知能力的14个细分维度中,条理性对创业决策具有显著的促进作用,审慎性对创业强度具有显著正影响,而热情性则对创业强度具有显著负影响。这种影响在政府管制水平和政府效率不同时也不同,政府管制较强和政府效率低下都影响非认知能力对创业作用的发挥。机制分析表明,非认知能力通过个体的社会资本和人力资本积累对创业产生影响。

Abstract: Based on the “Big Five” taxonomy, the paper employs CFPS data in 2010 and 2012 to analyze the effect and mechanism of non-cognitive abilities on entrepreneurship from an empirical perspective. The result shows that among the individual's fourteen personality factors, the factor of “order” has a significantly positive effect on entrepreneurial decisions and the factor of “deliberation” has a significantly positive effect on entrepreneurial intensity, but the factor of “warmth” has a significantly negative effect. This influence varies with the level of government regulation and government efficiency. The strong regulation and low inefficiency of government will affect the role of non-cognitive ability in entrepreneurship. The mechanism analysis shows that non-cognitive ability can influence the entrepreneurship by affecting the individual's social capital and human capital accumulation. Policy implications of this paper is that the government should take non-cognitive ability into consideration when making business policy. Besides, the government should reduce the intervention of market, streamline business processes and improve the efficiency.
