The Total Factor Productivity of Marine Economy in China and Its Spatial Econometric Analysis

Abstract: According to the relevant Marine economy data of 11 Coastal provinces in China from 1996 to 2010 years, this paper firstly uses the Malmquist productivity index method to measure the Marine economy total factor productivity index(TFP index) of China and the coastal provinces and to measure its decomposition, secondly conducts factor analysis with spatial econometric model. The results show that:(1)during sample period, TFP index decreases 2.1% per year and it is quite different among provinces;(2)there is a strong spatial spillover effects with TFP index and technological progress index, and spatial effects of technological progress index is more obvious;(3)regional openness, education and other related factors have positive impacts on TFP index and technological progress index.

摘要: 本文利用1996-2010年我国沿海11个省、市有关海洋经济面板数据,首先运用Malmquist生产力指数法测度我国及沿海各省市全要素生产率指数(TFP指数)及其分解,其次采用空间计量模型进行因素分析。结果表明:(1)样本期内我国全要素生产率指数年均下降2.1%,且各省市差异较大;(2)TFP指数与技术进步指数存在较强的空间溢出效应,技术进步指数空间效应更明显;(3)区域开放程度、教育等相关因素对TFP指数与技术进步指数产生正向影响。
