The Nonlinear Impact of Time Pressure on Employee's Knowledge Sharing Behavior

时间压力对员工知识共享行为的非线性影响机制

Abstract: Time pressure generated by the fast working pace follows employees as the shadow. However, there is still a big debate on whether time pressure can promote or inhibit knowledge sharing behavior. Based on the activation theory and the affective events theory, this study examines the internal mechanism and boundary conditions of the effect of time pressure on employees' knowledge sharing behavior. The results show that there is an inverted U-shaped relationship between time pressure and knowledge sharing behavior, and time pressure has an inverted U-shaped effect on high-activated positive mood. High-activated positive mood mediates the relationship between time pressure and knowledge sharing behavior. Leadership empowerment moderates the inverted U-shaped relationship between time pressure and high-activated positive mood. Leadership empowerment moderates the indirect effect of time pressure on knowledge sharing behavior via high-activated positive mood so that the mediating effect will be stronger when leadership empowerment is high.

摘要: 现代职场的快节奏使得时间压力感如影相随,然而时间压力是促进还是抑制员工知识共享,尚存在较大争议。基于激活理论探讨了时间压力与知识共享行为的关系,并引入情绪事件理论,以高激发积极情绪为中介,以领导授权为调节,分析了时间压力影响知识共享行为的传导机制与边界条件。结果发现,时间压力与知识共享行为、高激发积极情绪存在倒U型关系;高激发积极情绪在时间压力与知识共享间起中介作用;领导授权调节时间压力与高激发积极情绪呈倒U型关系,并调节高激发积极情绪在时间压力与知识共享行为间的中介作用。
