Effects of Digital Inclusive Finance on Married Women's Labor Participation: From the Perspective of Children's Educational Stage

数字普惠金融对已婚女性劳动参与的影响——基于子女不同受教育阶段的讨论

Abstract: This paper analyzes the impact of digital inclusive finance on married women's labor participationfrom the perspective of children's educational stageby using the data of Chinese General Social Survey (CGSS) in 2012, 2013, 2015 and 2017. The results of thestudy are as follows: for married women with preschool children aged 0—3, digital inclusive finance can significantly increase the labor participation rate by 2%; for married women with senior children aged 13—18, digital inclusive finance can significantly increase the labor participation rate by 3%. Considering the endogeneity between digital inclusive finance and married women's labor participation, the development of digital inclusive finance still has a significant promotion effect on the labor participation of married women, and married women with lower education levels are more likely to benefit from digital financial inclusion. Further analysis shows that the development of digital inclusive finance has a significant role in promoting the employment quality of married women. This paper provides a new perspective for understanding the impact of digital inclusive finance on the labor participation of married women, and provides a reference for the development of employment security policies for married women.

摘要: 从子女不同受教育阶段视角,使用2012、2013、2015、2017年四期中国综合社会调查(CGSS)数据,分析了数字普惠金融对已婚女性劳动参与的影响。结果表明:对于有0—3岁学龄前子女的已婚女性,数字普惠金融可以显著提高2%的劳动参与率;对于有13—18岁高年级阶段子女的已婚女性,数字普惠金融可以显著提高3%的劳动参与率。考虑了数字普惠金融与已婚女性劳动参与之间的内生性后,数字普惠金融的发展仍然可以显著提升已婚女性的劳动参与率,并且低学历女性更容易从数字普惠金融中获益。进一步分析发现,数字普惠金融的发展对已婚女性就业质量的提升也具有显著促进作用。文章为理解数字普惠金融对已婚女性劳动参与的影响提供了新的视角,也为已婚女性就业保障政策的制定提供了参考。
