Abstract: Based on Peking University Digital Inclusive Finance Index and China's Migrant Population Dynamic Monitoring Survey data, this paper discusses the impact of digital inclusive finance on the willingness of laborers to return to their hometown. It is found that the development of digital inclusive finance and its sub-dimensions both have a significant effect on promoting the willingness of laborers to return. In terms of the influence channel, digital inclusive finance improves the willingness of laborer to return by increasing the labor demand and raising the labor wage rate. Moreover, digital infrastructure can reinforce the positive impact of digital inclusive finance on the willingness of laborers to return. Heterogeneity analysis finds that the impact of digital inclusive finance on the willingness of laborers to return is more significant in areas with strong financial exclusion, among groups with rural household registration and among female laborers. The conclusion of this study provides multiple perspectives for improving people's livelihood and promoting labor force development, and has certain implications for further attracting talents, continuously promoting rural revitalization and regional coordinated development.

摘要: 基于北京大学数字普惠金融指数与中国流动人口动态监测调查(CMDS)数据,探讨数字普惠金融对劳动力回流意愿的影响。研究发现,数字普惠金融及其分维度的发展均对劳动力回流意愿有显著提升作用。从作用路径来看,数字普惠金融通过增加劳动力需求、提升劳动工资率来提高劳动力回流意愿。此外,数字基础设施能够强化数字普惠金融对劳动力回流意愿的积极影响。异质性分析发现,数字普惠金融对劳动力回流意愿的影响在金融排斥强的地区、农村户籍以及女性劳动力群体中更显著。该研究结论为改善民生、促进劳动力发展提供了多重视角,对进一步吸引人才、持续推动乡村振兴和区域协调发展具有一定启示作用。
