Huji Discrimination and Urban-rural Differential of labor relations in Chinese labor market

Abstract: Based on data of China General Social Survey conducted in 2006, this paper adopts Neumark decompositon and an extension of the Blinder-Oaxaca decomposition for nonlinear models to analyze the influences of huji discrimination on the urban-rural differentials in labor-capital relations. The results show that: 27.11% of the total wage differentials is caused by huji discrimination. The influence of huji discrimination on the wage differentials is different among regions, the highest is eastern and the lowest is central. Compared with the influences on wage differentials, the influences of huji discrimination on social insurance and labor contract is greater.

摘要: 基于2006年中国综合社会调查数据,本文应用 分解和非线性模型的 分解方法分析了我国劳动力市场上户籍歧视对劳资关系城乡差异的影响,研究结果表明户籍歧视造成的工资差异占城乡总工资差异的27.11%;不同地区户籍歧视对工资差异的影响程度不尽相同,东部地区最高,中部地区最低;与工资差异相比,户籍歧视对城乡劳动力在社会保险享有率差异与劳动合同签订率差异方面的影响更大。
