Abstract: Abstract：The paper is logically based on the coupling relationship of the new urbanization and the local government debt risk so as to research on the debt risk of local government. Nowadays, in the process of new urbanization, local government has an unequal financial right and administrative right. The debt risk of the government is obvious, as it takes financing platform as the channel, the debtors have low sense of responsibility and land is the lever in financing. Under such background, the new tendency and new features in the new urbanization shall be taken into account, and a measurement indicator system shall be built from four aspects including scale risk, structure risk, management risk and payment risk of the local government debt. The entropy value method shall be adopted to measure the debt risk of the local governments in Chinese 30 provinces. Finally, the risk prevention countermeasures shall be made depending on the evolution of the local government debt risk in the process of new urbanization.
