合法性溢出文献综述与批判性思考

Literature Review and Critical Thinking on Legitimacy Spillover

摘要: 合法性溢出不但是“社会现实中一种涌现的属性”,而且可以作为“交际互动中被战略性使用的一种策略”,对于各类组织克服“新入者劣势”、突破合法性阈值、提升存活率具有重要影响。本文对近20年来合法性溢出的相关文献进行综述,立足宏观表象和微观机制两个层面,对合法性溢出的情境、方式、结果、影响因素以及合法性溢出的观众及其心理模式的相关研究成果进行梳理,并揭示两个层面研究之间的关系,在此基础上,通过批判性思考,挖掘出12个研究机会。本文旨在为学术界系统把握合法性溢出的现有理论积累、有序地开展后续研究提供参考,同时,为实业界制定和实施合法性溢出战略提供借鉴。

Abstract: Legitimacy spillover is not only “an emerging attribute in social reality”, but also can be used as “a strategy in communication interaction”, which has an important impact on various organizations(especially new ventures) in their efforts to overcome “the liabilities of newness”, break through the legitimacy threshold, and improve the survival rate. This paper reviews the relevant literature of the context, the mode, the result and the antecedent of legitimacy spillove on the macro-appearance level, and the relevant literature of the audience and its psychological model of legitimacy spillover on the micro-mechanism level. The relationship between the two levels is revealed. Through critical thinking, this paper also explores the hidden theoretical gaps and twelve future research opportunities. The purpose of this paper is to provide a reference for the academic circles to systematically grasp the existing theoretical accumulation of legitimacy spillover and to carry out the follow-up research in an orderly manner, and at the same time, to provide a reference for the industry to formulate and implement the legitimacy spillover strategy.
