中间品进口多样化与企业创新二元边际——基于中国微观企业的证据

摘要： 基于2000~2006年中国制造业企业数据库和海关数据库的匹配数据,探讨中间品进口多样化对企业创新的影响。研究结果表明,中间品进口多样化对企业创新的扩展边际和集约边际均有显著的正向影响,进口中间品种类越多样化的企业更倾向于参与创新并生产更多的新产品。进一步考察企业的性质、规模及中间品进口来源地后,发现中间品进口多样化更能显著提高私营企业的创新扩展边际,并强化小型企业自主创新的意愿和能力,从OECD发达国家进口的多样化中间品对企业创新的影响更为突出。根据中介效应模型的传导机制检验,中间品进口多样化通过利润增长路径和非利润增长路径对企业创新产生显著影响。

Abstract: The influence of the diversification of the import of intermediate goods on enterprise innovation is discussed based on the matching data of the Chinese manufacturing enterprise database and the Customs database from 2000 to 2006. It is showed that the diversification of imported intermediate goods has significantly positive influence on the extensive margin and the intensive margin of enterprise innovation. Enterprises with more variety of intermediate goods tend to be more involved in innovation and produce more new products. After considering enterprise's ownership structure, scale and the importing source of origin, we find that the variety of imported intermediate products has more significant effect on the extensive margin of innovation for private enterprises, and strengthens the willingness and ability of small enterprises to innovate independently. Meanwhile, the variety of imported intermediate goods from OECD developed countries has a more prominent effect on enterprise innovation. Based on the transmission mechanism of the mediation effect model, it is proved that the variety of imported intermediate products will positively affect enterprise innovation through the profit and the non-profit growth path.
