交通基础设施投资对我国不同地区和类型工业企业TFP存在异质性影响吗?

Does the Transportation Infrastructure Investment Have a Heterogeneous Impact on the TFP of Different Regions and Types of Industrial Enterprises in China?

摘要: 为测度交通基础设施对工业企业TFP的异质性影响,本文使用中国工业企业数据库375万组观测数据,实证检验了交通基础设施对工业企业TFP的总体影响,并且从不同地区和不同所有制企业角度分析了交通基础设施的结构效应。实证研究表明:(1)交通基础设施的完善在总体上提升了工业企业TFP;(2)在东部和中部地区,交通基础设施对工业企业TFP的正向促进作用显著,在西部地区则不显著;(3)不同所有制类型企业TFP之间的差距呈逐年收敛态势,但交通基础设施的改善对非国有制工业企业TFP的提升效果要显著优于国有制工业企业。本文为理解交通基础设施对不同类型工业企业高质量发展中的角色提供了新证据,对未来进一步改善我国交通基础设施投资策略以及优化交通基础设施区域布局提供了有益的决策参考。

Abstract: In order to accurately measure the heterogeneous impact of the transportation infrastructure on the TFP of industrial enterprises, this paper uses 3.75 million groups of observation data from the China Industrial Enterprise Database and the panel data fixed effects model to empirically study the overall effect of the transportation infrastructure on the TFP of industrial enterprises, and analyze the structure effect of the transportation infrastructure from the perspective of different regions and enterprises with different kinds of ownership. The findings of the empirical study are as follows: (1) The improvement of the transportation infrastructure has generally improved the TFP of industrial enterprises. (2) The transportation infrastructure has a significant positive effect on the TFP in the eastern and central regions, but not in the western regions. (3) The gap between the TFPs of enterprises with different ownership types is converging year by year. Comparatively speaking, the improvement of the transportation infrastructure has a significantly greater effect on improving the TFP of non-state-owned industrial enterprises than on state-owned industrial enterprises. On the whole, this research provides a useful decision-making reference for further improving our country's transportation infrastructure investment strategy and optimizing the regional layout of the transportation infrastructure.
