信息消费与企业绿色转型

Information Consumption and the Green Transformation of Enterprises

摘要: 本文借助国家信息消费试点政策这一准自然实验,基于2011—2022年中国A股上市公司面板数据,采用多期双重差分法实证检验信息消费对企业绿色转型的驱动效应及传导机制。实证结果表明,信息消费对企业绿色转型存在显著赋能作用,其作用机制包括加速企业数字化转型、强化绿色技术创新以及优化人力资本结构。这一效应在非国有企业、高数据要素利用水平企业、重污染行业企业以及信息基础设施完善、数字普惠金融发达地区更为显著。进一步分析表明,信息消费通过纵向溢出效应显著促进上游供应商绿色转型,但对下游客户绿色转型的溢出效应相对不明显。本研究拓展了信息消费经济效应的理论认知维度,也为构建数字经济与绿色发展协同机制提供了政策启示。

Abstract: This paper utilizes the national information consumption pilot policy as a quasi-natural experiment, based on the panel data of A-share listed companies in China from 2011 to 2022, and employs a multi-period difference-in-differences method to empirically examine the driving effect and transmission mechanism of information consumption on corporate green transformation. The empirical results show that information consumption has a significant empowering effect on corporate green transformation, and its mechanism of action includes accelerating corporate digital transformation, strengthening green technological innovation, and optimizing human capital structure. This effect is more pronounced in non-state-owned enterprises, enterprises with high data element utilization levels, enterprises in heavily polluting industries, and in regions with well-developed information infrastructure and digital inclusive finance. Further analysis indicates that information consumption significantly promotes the green transformation of upstream suppliers through vertical spillover effects, but the spillover effect on the green transformation of downstream customers is relatively insignificant. This study expands the theoretical cognitive dimension of the economic effects of information consumption and provides policy implications for building a coordination mechanism between the digital economy and green development.
