The Construction of Data Element Market and Intelligent Manufacturing

Abstract: This paper utilizes the establishment of data trading platforms as a quasi-natural experiment, based on the panel data of 283 cities in China from 2011 to 2022, and employs a multi-period difference-in-differences method to examine the impact of data element market construction on intelligent manufacturing. The findings show that the construction of data element market has significantly promoted the development of intelligent manufacturing. The results of heterogeneity analysis reveal that the impact of the construction of data element market on intelligent manufacturing is more significant in cities with superior digital infrastructure, greater openness of public data and stronger intellectual property protection. The mechanism analysis indicates that the construction of data element market fosters intelligent manufacturing through driving industrial structure upgrading and enhancing digital technology innovation. Furthermore, the construction of data element market not only boosts intelligent manufacturing locally, but also generates positive spillover effects on neighboring regions. The above conclusions provide scientific references and theoretical insights for advancing the construction of data element market and promoting the development of intelligent manufacturing.

摘要: 本文以数据交易平台的设立作为准自然实验,基于2011—2022年中国283个城市的面板数据,构建多期双重差分模型,实证检验数据要素市场建设对智能制造的影响。研究发现:数据要素市场建设显著推动智能制造的发展,且在数字基础设施水平较高、公共数据开放程度较高及产权保护强度较高的城市的推动作用更大;数据要素市场建设通过促进产业结构升级和加强数字技术创新影响智能制造的发展;数据要素市场建设不仅推动本地区智能制造的发展,而且对邻近地区的智能制造发展具有正向的溢出效应。上述结论为推动数据要素市场建设和智能制造发展提供科学参考和理论借鉴。
