The Empirical Study on the Effects of Collective Wage Consultation System on Enterprise Employment Scale——Evidences from Enterprise Survey Data in Hangzhou

摘要: 本文利用2012年杭州市企业调查数据,实证分析了工资集体协商制度与企业雇佣量之间的关系。研究结果发现,该制度对扩大企业雇佣规模整体上有显著且稳健的正效应,且内生性检验表明企业实施该制度与否不存在统计上显著的自选择。进一步分类别估计显示,这种正效应主要集中在民营企业、制造业企业和低经营收入企业,在其他类别企业则未发现显著影响。 ?

Abstract: This paper is an empirical study on the relationship between collective wage consultation system and enterprise employment scale based on enterprise survey data in Hangzhou in 2012. It is found that collective wage consultation system has a significant and robust positive effect on expanding the scale of enterprise employment. And endogenous test shows that there is no significant self-selectivity problem in whether enterprises implement the system or not. Further estimates find that this positive effect occurs mainly in private enterprises, manufacturing enterprises, and low-income enterprises, which are the fields where weak labor and weak capital combine, and make no significant effect on other types of enterprises. Therefore, it is important to promote the development of the system with more specific targets and flexibility.
