Abstract: The Chinese path to modernization aims to achieve common prosperity for all, the essence of which is to promote the people's well-rounded development. Promoting common prosperity for all and the people's well-rounded development is an important feature and an unshakable commitment of Chinese modernization under the leadership of the Communist Party of China (CPC). Comprehensively understanding and grasping the theoretical connotation, the internal logic, the development history, and the practical progress of common prosperity in the process of Chinese modernization is essential for making more notable and substantive progress in promoting the people's well-rounded development and prosperity for all.
The common prosperity in the process of Chinese modernization is the common prosperity for all the people. Its theoretical connotation relies on the organic combination of people-centered philosophy, common prosperity and people's well-rounded development, which manifests itself in the people-centered promotion of common prosperity in order to realize people's development in all respects. According to Marxist theory of social contradiction and methodological principles, its internal logic is that the basic social contradiction between productive forces and relations of production determines the main social contradiction, and it is only by recognizing the main social contradiction and grasping its main aspects that the contradiction can be effectively resolved. In the historical process of people-centered modernization, the CPC has correctly judged the main contradictions in Chinese society with a distinct people's standpoint and people's values and goals in different historical periods, seized the main aspects of the main contradictions in Chinese society in different historical periods, and pushed forward the emancipation and development of the productive forces as well as the adaptation of the relations of production and the productive forces to promote common prosperity and people's well-rounded development. Its basic logic runs through the historical process of China's revolution, construction, reform and opening-up, and the great practices of the new era. The practical approach to achieve common prosperity in Chinese modernization is to adhere to the people-centered philosophy, promote the development of productive forces and the adaptation of relations of production to productive forces, continuously satisfy people's needs, enhance their capabilities, promote harmony in their social relations, and narrow the gaps in consumption, capabilities and incomes among people, especially among different groups, with a view to ultimately realize common prosperity and people's well-rounded development.
Firstly, promoting high-quality development is the fundamental premise and the primary task for promoting common prosperity and people's well-rounded development. It is necessary to adhere to and improve the basic socialist economic system, continuously liberate and develop the productive forces, and give full play to and reflect the superiority of the socialist system.
Secondly, narrowing the gap between the rich and the poor in groups is the key to and an important task for promoting common prosperity and all-round development of man, and it is necessary to raise the level of residents' welfare based on human consumption, capacity and income, and narrow the gap between their groups, so as to continuously promote social equity and justice.
Thirdly, breaking up the urban-rural dual structure is an urgent task for promoting common prosperity and all-round development of man, and it is necessary to promote comprehensive social reforms with the cracking down of the urban-rural dual structure as the main focus, so as to ensure equal basic rights and fair opportunities for the development of the entire population.
