Hierarchical Network Embedding, TMT Heterogeneity and the Motivation of Enterprise Green Transformation ——An Integrated Analysis Framework of Cross-layer Interaction Factors

Abstract: It is of great significance to analyze the motivation of enterprises' green transformation to clarify the evolution mechanism. Based on the theory of dynamic capability and from the perspective of integrating analysis of macro, meso and micro cross-layer interaction factors, this paper builds a theoretical model of the hierarchical network embedding, TMT heterogeneity and enterprise green transformation under the embedding of the green dynamic capability to discuss the driving mechanism of enterprise green transformation, and applies the Bootstrapping, hierarchical regression to empirically test the driving factors' mechanism and the boundaries of green transformation. The findings of the research are as follows:(1)Both the hierarchical network embedding and TMT heterogeneity have significant positive effects on promoting green transformation, and the TMT heterogeneity plays an intermediary effect in the relationship between the hierarchical network embedding and enterprise green transformation. It shows that the cross-layer interaction of the influencing factors can promote the formation of enterprise green transformation, and part of its effects can be played through the transmission channel of TMT. (2)The green dynamic capability of the enterprise has no significant moderating effect on the intermediary role of TMT heterogeneity. It also has no moderating effect in the relationships between the hierarchical network embedding and TMT heterogeneity, but has a positive moderating effect in the relationships between the TMT heterogeneity and the enterprise green transition. On the one hand, it shows the importance of enterprise initiative reform with the core of diversified TMT; on the other hand, it explains the importance of enterprise green dynamic ability in the decision-making process of TMT.

摘要: 为明晰企业绿色转型的演化机理,剖析其动因至关重要。本文基于动态能力等理论,从宏观、中观和微观跨层交互因素整合分析视角切入,在对企业绿色转型驱动机制探讨的基础上,尝试构建绿色动态能力调节下的层次结构网络嵌入、高层管理团队(TMT)异质性与企业绿色转型理论模型,并通过Bootstrap、层次回归等方法实证检验绿色转型驱动因素的作用机理和边界。结果显示:(1)层次结构网络嵌入、TMT异质性对促成企业绿色转型均有显著的正向影响,且TMT异质性在层次结构网络嵌入与企业绿色转型关系中起中介效应,表明跨层交互因素对企业绿色转型的形成具有促进作用,其部分影响是通过高层管理团队这一传导渠道发挥效应。(2)企业绿色动态能力对TMT异质性的中介效应不具有调节作用,在层次结构网络嵌入与TMT异质性间不具有调节作用,而在TMT异质性与企业绿色转型间起正向调节作用。一方面表明多元化高层管理团队为核心的企业主动变革的重要性;另一方面说明企业绿色动态能力在高层管理团队做出绿色转型决策过程中起重要推动作用。
